To my next love

 

I'm not sure who my next love will be,
but I know how they'll make me feel.

I know how safe your arms will be
And how full my heart will be from your warmth.
But before you fall into the depths of my eyes.

Here are a few words of caution.
I promise I won't make it easy.
You will have days where you are uncertain. 

I hope your a good farmer for you will have to dig;
Past my defenses and my history and at times I will frustrate you,
But I hope it will all be worth it

To the next keeper of my heart, I promise this,
To keep you safe, sometimes even from yourself
We'll share worlds, and every day will be a brand new adventure.

And when it is time to let you go,

I will do so with a full heart, 
I will remind you to open your heart fully to the one you love when I am gone.
And to remember me fondly for the time we shared.
