The chase
Let's play a game, shall we?
Let's pretend that for a second your opinion of me could be lower than my own.
Let's pretend that you could hate me more than I hate myself
And finally, let's assume you know my story
And you can replicate it into something worse, as punishment
What would you accomplish?
Why does hurting me seem to be so life-altering?
And once the deed is done will you love yourself more?
I see you sitting on that moral pedestal staring.
To the general public, I address a thought
Who taught you to think the way you do?
And do these ideas thoughts and values real serve your higher self?
Sitting behind this end of the screen, I still don't understand
Fat-shaming, slut-shaming, racism, homophobia, transphobia
It's thoughts like these that keep millions of souls up at night
We make ourselves edit our masterpieces in hopes that we fit into the classes
Classes we created all on our own
